I completely understand and have been where you may be now. My 35-year career has come full circle—beginning as a high school teacher and coach to now advising and coaching business owners and their leadership teams to achieve focus, alignment, improved execution, and ultimately, success. The years in between were filled with meaningful experiences, great bosses, lousy bosses, wise mentors, and a lifetime of lessons learned. This journey includes the “intrepreneurship” build and launch of a new subsidiary business inside of a large corporation only to have the parent company acquired six months later. While developing survival skills, I persisted through 13 different bosses in 8 years, participated on due diligence and merger integration teams before jumping into an entrepreneurial wealth management practice in 2003.

And then in 2010 came a surprise turn when I was recruited to lead a regional private boarding-day school out of the Great Recession after serving on its board of trustees for seven years. During this ten-year turn-around effort, my team and I led a brand transformation, market expansion, significant fundraising, oversaw $30+ million in construction projects, and a financial and cultural transformation. Ultimately, I managed my own successful exit, succession, and transition.

The opportunity to bring it all together to the benefit of business owners and their leadership teams inspires my work today.
